How It Began

On April 30, 2018, Sarah awoke in the middle of the night with what she could only describe as a vision from God. It depicted "miracles in the wasteland." As she listened for God, the vision became clearer: broken twigs scattered on the ground, trampled and pressed down for years, eventually transforming into compost. This compost revitalized and nourished the soil, leading to new, healthy growth. The TWIGS symbolized miracles emerging from the wasteland.

This image resonated deeply with Sarah’s personal journey. Despite the challenges, and with only a few supporters, she felt compelled to share her story so that others could heal more easily. In September 2018, her book, “A Journey Back to Restoration”, was published. It allowed Sarah to reach people around the world, with nearly three thousand copies sold in nine countries and thirty-seven states across the U.S.

By September 2022, Sarah’s story had been shared in multiple anti-trafficking conferences across the U.S. along with other events including churches and women’s groups. People began to recognize her name. During this season she began partnering with similar like-minded organizations who encouraged her to continue her endeavors with creating a non-profit that would help victims and survivors of trafficking.

Inspired, by the support that was being shown, TWIGS Restoration Ministry was formed and had their first board meeting on July 17, 2023. On Good Friday, March 29, 2024 upon opening the mailbox, there was excitement in the air when the official documents were opened stating TWIGS Restoration Ministry was a legally formed non-profit organization.

Our Mission

Is to provide support and housing to individuals impacted by human trafficking.

Our Vision

Together We Initiate Growth & Stability by journeying with survivors of human trafficking to REBUILD, RESTORE and RENEW their lives.

Our Approach

We fight to end human trafficking with three core initiatives.

Transformational Art

By utilizing art as a therapeutic tool, we empower survivors by teaching them how to effectively implement various art techniques for therapy, particularly in situations where other forms of therapy may not be readily accessible.

Community Awareness

Through raising awareness in our community, we aim to provide a concrete understanding and realization of the impact of human trafficking on all of us. By doing this, we are demonstrating our dedication to eradicating human trafficking.

We believe that human trafficking is not only an issue that concerns individuals, but a collective problem that impacts every community. Through increasing awareness, we collaborate with various communities and organizations to provide enhanced support, prevention, and identification for potential victims and survivors of trafficking.

Therapeutic Home - Launch Date TBD

Our two-year therapeutic program will provide comprehensive support for adult female survivors of human trafficking, aged 18-45. Focusing on every facet of the individual survivor’s health - physical, mental, emotional, spiritual, and relational-together we will aspire to support and equip her on her journey to holistic healing.

Our approach is positive and sensitive to the trauma they have endured. With a strength-based, trauma-informed approach, we will help each survivor develop a personalized life plan that fits their unique needs while providing around-the-clock care in a supportive, family-like environment, representing the heart of Jesus.
